SAPRTEC is responsible for standardizing training and education across the Department. SAPRTEC strives to develop, deliver, and oversee training, education, and related requirements for integrated primary prevention and sexual assault response throughout the Department to enable standardization and continuous improvement. It serves as the executive agent for Integrated Primary Prevention Workforce (IPPW) training and education and is standardizing prevention and response training for consistent application.
RELEVANT POLICIES
- DoDI 6495.02, Vol. 1 establishes training standards for SARCs and SAPR VAs and most responders.
- DoDI 6495.02, Vol. 2 establishes SAPR training requirements and aligns with the Department’s Common Military Training (CMT).
- DoDI 6495.03 contains certification standards for SARCs and SAPR VAs under the Defense Sexual Assault Advocate Certification Program (D-SAACP).
- DoDI 6400.09 creates unity of effort across prevention programs and establishes a common, research-based framework for violence prevention.
- DoDI 6400.11 establishes roles, requirements, and training and education standards for the IPPW and provides assessment and evaluation requirements for IPPW oversight.
