Directives & Instructions
The DoD Directives and Instructions incorporate the recommendations set forth in the Task Force Report on Care for Victims of Sexual Assault as well as from Public Law 108-375, the Ronald W. Reagan National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2005 (Download Public Law 108-375, 1.0 MB), which directed the Department to have a sexual assault policy in place by January 1, 2005.
The policies in DTM 11-062 (Document Retention) and DTM 11-063 (Expedited Transfers) are now found in the new DoD SAPR Instruction DoDI 6495.02.
